There are two factors that affect the aging of the skin: extrinsic and intrinsic.

Intrinsic or internal aging is biological that occurs with the passing of time.

Extrinsic or external aging is the natural process of biological aging compiled with exterior causes such as sun exposure, air pollution, smoking, lifestyle, cosmetics and other allergens and lack of care.  It is extrinsic aging that affects the appearance of the skin. The deeper the damage the longer it takes to repair.

1.  Exposure to extreme weather conditions (cold, heat, wind and pollutants) for long periods of time.
2.  Smoking (this also affects biological and intrinsic aging)- not only toxic and cuts off oxygen to the skin therefore suffocating the skin. 
It also forms upper lip lines.
3.  Lack of skin care and protection.

It is Seventh Ray’s policy that we must be working with your skin before we do any peels.   We ask you to complete our intake form with a complete skin history and have a facial to discuss your skin and decide what is best for you. We then do a patch test to make sure you do not have reactions to any acids we might use. At this point together we will plan a program that will start with corrective facials ending up with our goal of the best peel for you. We have discovered that this program gives you the best results.
